I GOT MARRIED---in Skyrim...

Stenvar has been my follower for a long, long time.  Before Anneka, he was my follower, but he and I got separated when I had to do a  quest with Farkas, one of the Companions.  Then, I became a werewolf, and wanted to try other followers, so I hired a few different people.

Among them were Janassa and Uthgerd the Unbreakable.  Both fine followers, and I like them both.  But Stenvar is just a total BAD!  ASS!  So, I've outfitted him with upgraded ebony armor and weapons, and last night as we were doing some stuff for Kodlak's funeral I started thinking that it would be cool to have a spouse come out and fight with my character, and then I could send him home to open a shop, try out other followers, then bring him back on the road again without having to pay him another 500 gold.

After becoming separated again for another quest, I had to go find him again, and he said, "Well, look who it is!  Getting into lots of trouble, I hope!"  And that was it.  I fell.  Well, my character fell.  She's in love with Stenvar and he's dead sexy.  Duh, he's a knight, and after telling him to "wait here," then telling him, "let's go," he says, "Let's go find something ta FIGHT!"  hahaha  He's all brawn.

So, Sparkleshine put on the Amulet of Mara, asked him if he was interested, he said yes.  He then asked if Sparkleshine was interested in him, and of COURSE she said she was, so he says, "Well, that's it then.  You and me."  He's a man of few words.

Fast travel to Riften, get married, and then decide where to live.

Sparkleshine said she wanted to live in her house, and he's fine with that, but then I chose to "move" them to his house, which was actually the inn over in this ghetto of a town, Windhelm.  We are so not living there, however, I've noticed that all the little things sitting around the inn that were marked "steal," now say, "take".  That means I can take just about everything that isn't nailed down without any penalty.  So, I moved them back to Breezehome, but the items in the Candlehearth Inn should still be available for me to take anytime I want.

Because I am a werewolf, I never get benefits from resting, which means I never get the "lover's comfort" perk.  Since all followers, except those in the Companions, attack me whenever I shift into a were, I can't use it very often, so I am considering going through the purity ritual.  The lover's comfort perk helps you gain skills more quickly for 8 game hours.  So my being a werewolf basically means I'm married for no reason whatsoever, except that Stenvar can make homecooked meals for me to take in my inventory and eat during battle to restore health and stamina.

Hmmm...  I may leave Stenvar at home to work in his shop awhile and take one of the Companions as a follower for a bit...  Something to think about...

Anyway, because the happy couple believes in supporting local economy, Stenvar and Sparkleshine are registered at Warmaiden's in Whiterun, naturally, as well as Arcadia's Cauldron, and Belethor's General Goods, you know, just in case you want to send the happy couple a gift.
