My little baby turned four today, and we had another playdate with "Sally". They seemed to have a great time. I'm exhausted, though. They were both all over the place today to the point where they acted like they had ADHD, and my nerves are totally shot to the point where I could really use a stiff drink, but Miss Muffet seemed to have a good day, and that's really what it's all about, right?
Really, though, I'm NOT used to all the hyperactivity that was going on here today. Our house just isn't like that. We like the quiet, settled state of things around here. It's conducive to quiet, artistic pursuits. My nerves could not handle the events of today on a regular basis. Edgar's playdates with little boys weren't this rowdy.
Anyway, in an effort to keep the girls busy, for something to do, we decorated cuckakes!
More accurately---THEY decorated cupcakes.
Aren't those papers cute? They look like Santa's clothes.
Those little, plastic clips from Ikea came in REALLY handy today for sealing those frosting bags closed!
Notice Miss Muffet is wearing her party dwess and pink pearls? Yeah. Standard celebratory clothing for her. Didn't matter that we didn't leave the house today--that is the dwess she likes to wear for partying, and today being her birthday and all, she insisted... Oh, and notice the fairy wings? She is a birthday fairy, don'tcha know.
So much fun!
You have to buy the cherries with the stems. They're just prettier. Srsly, I've no use whatsoever for cherries that haven't a stem.
Happy 4th Birthday, Little Baby! Hope you had a fabulously fun day!
